I love being able to send students on their way for the day knowing that they put their best foot forward. There, I was just an extra pair of ears, but it helped me to focus on my own technique and how to most efficiently play my instrument. I am also a conductor. My minor concentration for my doctorate was Instrumental Conducting, and studied with David E. Becker. I have been a guest conductor with several high school and middle school string orchestras, been a substitute conductor for university/community orchestras, and organized two benefit chamber orchestra concerts in Las Vegas, in 2012 and 2013. In 2015, I was an Associate with the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra, Conductors Institute with Markand Thakar, and a Participant at the Conductors Retreat at Medomak, with Kenneth Kiesler. Read More

I think students are more engaged and willing to practice when they are actually enjoying what they are learning, and music is an amazing thing, so it should be engaging! I am a lighthearted and easy going teacher, and I am also experienced in many different areas of music. This allows me to really tailor my lessons to my students needs.
