My teaching experience includes serving as a middle school band director, high school band director, middle school choir director, high school choir director, elementary school general music and choir teacher, and elementary school clarinet teacher. The youngest student I've ever taught was six years old, and I'm happy to work with children, adolescents, and adults. During undergrad in college, I also worked the music theory tutoring lab giving theory lessons to college students, so if a high school student is studying music theory, I would be able to assist with that as well. I am currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Oboe Performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts studying with Jaren Atherholt. As an orchestral player, I have had the privilege performed with the UNCSA Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestros Larry Rachleff and Christopher Lees, and with the UNCSA Ballet Orchestra in their 2018 and 2019 production of The Nutcracker. I also took on some beginning students and taught private lessons for about 2 years before placing my focus on my studies while attending college. I have been volunteering to teach flute students at my local middle and high schools since in 2023.
