I have always believed that music is the International Language and can reach across the language barriers. Since then I have served as a substitute in Florida, and then returned to New Mexico where I taught in Farmington, Los Alamos an now in Albuquerque. I have taught through Musikalessons since 2004 and had taught in my own studio and private University settings for years before that. I have also taught elementary general music, 6 yrs; orchestra in elem, mid and high school, University String Project, community orcheatra (13 yrs); choir in Albuquerque Boy Choir (9 yrs), University chorus (8 yrs), public and parochial school choirs grades 2 thru 12 (12 years). I am a versatile music teacher. As an undergraduate at Ithaca College, I learned each band and orchestra instrument from the college instructor. For example, I learned to play the oboe from the oboe professor. We had to make our own reeds and use them to play our final exam. Through this rigorous training, I learned to play all major scales and high school level music on the flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, trumpet, French Horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, violin, viola, cello, double bass, and percussion.
