In 2017 after graduating, I decided to further my career in music by becoming an after-school instructor for Brevard County schools. I taught piano and guitar for students ages 5-13. Though my contract with the school had come to a close, my passion for teaching only grew. So I began giving private strings instruction, teaching cello, bass, guitar, violin, viola and piano. Determining the range of an individuals learning styles and how they operate allows me to better gauge their needs and accomplishments. whether I should be quite literal, or use analogies, metaphors and similes. Knowing a students aural depth helps me guide listening. An idea of kinetic aptitude and tendencies helps me construct the "procedural memory" of playing efficiently.
