I started teaching when I was a junior in high school. I was taking college classes, so I had some free time during school hours, and my school's band director would have me assist him in teaching the younger band classes. It is a privilege to be able to be a part of the development of a musical goal no matter the age or skill level. I take it upon myself to make sure that each student achieves his or her musical goals. I start all my beginners with getting to learn their instrument, the fundamentals of music like scales and progressions and some fun simple songs or melodies.
