As the student progresses, he/she will be introduced to solo repertoire as well advance method books for recital and competitive purposes. Originally from Dallas, TX, I was always interested in music but never thought of it as more than a hobby. I was a solo performer playing shows around the Dallas/Fort Worth area and in a popular Salsa band for years before I finally decided to get back into school and see where this musical journey would take me. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with the lesson books you or I provide, preferably Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

I have for several years worked with Middle and High School Students throughout the Corpus Christi area. I have worked with beginner and intermediate bassoon students, beginner, intermediate and advanced flute students. I have a great deal of experience working with theatres and teaching vocals to musical theatre actors. For the past 10 years I have worked extensively with choirs.
