Although I am classically trained and have extensive orchestral experience as a violinist and violist, I was a founding member of an Irish group and several early music ensembles, performed with folk and classical guitarists, and played in a rock and roll nightclub band.I continue to play in many churches and synagogues, do strolling violin work, perform jazz standards, and act as lead violin in an internationally acclaimed big band. I have taught for four years primarily using the Tuttle System and the Suzuki method. I am patient with my students and believe that anyone can become a great violist. I understand that it is difficult in the beginning and progress can be slow, but I encourage my students to keep chugging along. It is my passion to show you, you have the ability to overcome any obstacles you may face in music. On May 1st I graduated from Weber State University with my Bachelors in K-12 Music Education. I got the chance to be instructed by great minds like Viktor Uzur (known worldwide for the Richter/Uzur Duo) and work along side talented students like Fan Ya Lin (pianist with a professorship at Julliard). I have been playing viola for seven years and violin for nine years. I have worked with students that are in middle school up to high school. In high school, I played with the Kalamazoo Junior Symphony Orchestra in Michigan. Then I played with the Saint Mary's College String ensemble and the Notre Dame Symphony Orchestra, and went on tour with the NDSO, for a year. I graduated high school in 2017, went to Saint Mary's College at Notre Dame, IN, and I am now at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, WA. Read More
