Instruments: Voice, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Recorder, Oboe, Music, Acoustic Guitar

One of the reasons I love private lessons so much is because we can go at the pace of the student. We can explore different styles of music the students enjoys, and also styles that may be new to them. If a child is in band, I usually will ask them what they are working on in band so I can continue to help them in that area, while also exploring pieces of music on our own. Read More

Instruments: Clarinet

My teaching experience dates back to my high school years, 8 years ago, when I was a section leader for my marching band and I got to teach marching routines and lead sectionals for my section. Once fundamentals are established, I want to learn what styles, bands, and artists the student likes. This helps me figure out which techniques and skills the student might need to know first in order to learn to play the music they enjoy. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet

For all of my piano students, I use Nancy and Randall Faber's Piano Adventures. Students ages 3-5 use the My First Piano Adventure series, which moves at a slightly slower pace and contains more parent/teacher activities. Students ages 6-12 (where most of my students are) use the standard Piano Adventures progression. Older students (age 13 and up) use the Accelerated Piano Adventures series, which is designed specifically for use with older beginners. Read More

It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
