I approach teaching as an avenue to inspire others. Making mistakes are just as important as playing something perfect. I like to stress that perfection is not the goal but feeling good from playing your instrument is. It is very important for my students to practice outside of lessons. I try to encourage that through positive reinforcements verses just saying you have to practice this lesson over and over. I make my guitar lessons fun which keeps my students coming back. Read More

For beginng students i like to start with Hal Lenords guitar 1 book and progress from there. I like to start kids with reading notation and little melodies cause it will help them in the long run. My methods vary according to the student. If the student is less than 12 years old, I like to use the Hal Leonard Method 1 book. If the student is 12 or older, I may still use the Hal Leonard book, but I assess the students goals, and find out what they would like to learn. Whatever style of music the student is interested in learning, I believe in teaching proper posture and sound technique. For anyone interested in learning classical guitar, I recommend a book titled Pumping Nylon by Scott Tennant. Read More

I have been playing for the past fifteen years and teaching for five. Read More
