I am an experienced and passionate teacher and performer. I hold my K-12 Music Teaching Certification in Ohio and New Jersey. As a professional vocalist, I have appeared with various orchestras and small opera companies in Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and beyond. I have performed at Severance Hall, Playhouse Square, Philadelphia's Kimmel Center, and Chicago's Harris Theater, but as a student, I never thought that would be the case. I start each student with a diagnostic lesson where I assess the strong points of their playing, and I also identify the areas that could use work. After that initial lesson I formulate a customized curriculum that is aimed at improving the technical, musical, and theoretical aspects of the student to create a well-rounded musician. I believe that incorporating solo repertoire into lessons is important as well. Exercises are important, but I believe that the implementation of new skills with repertoire is key to solidifying the skills that the student is working on. Read More

I am an instructor who holds his students to a high standard. In 2013 I graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a BM in Performance where I studied Dr. Alan Wenger. After that, in 2015, I received my MM in Performance from DePaul Univeristy where I studied with members of the Chicago Symphony, Chicago Lyric Opera, and Chicago Sinfonietta. I make sure to always acknowledge accomplishments to help fuel the student's desire to progress and make them eager to learn more.
