Instruments: Piano, Violin, Viola, Fiddle, Keyboard

My style of teaching is different for each student. After meeting the student, I suggest setting a goal, working towards that goal for 4 -6 weeks - after which an assessment is made by me to determine how best to continue. For beginning voice students I use the same method, but I like to use a song that the student knows. For students with experience I like to have them play or sing something they know and I evaluate that and I will work with them on that song and build their technique. Read More

For students that are just starting out, I use the Suzuki Method. This method includes initially learning by ear or listening, and learning to read notes later on. For children, parent involvement is also an essential aspect of the method, this allows the parent to be able to help their child during practice at home. I also focus on scales as one way to help improve technique using the Carl Flesch Scale Book for more advanced students. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
