Instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, French Horn, Tuba, Orchestral Percussion, Latin Percussion, Music

In Middle school, I began tutoring classmates in mathematics and realized the importance of making the intangible, accessible and that not everyone will innately use the same approach, method, process or visualization to arrive at the solution. In High school I tutored German and Casteon, and it became obvious that "How" we hear is extremely important to "what" we hear, and, are able to replicate. Instruments: Trombone

I understand that we all think of music in different ways and that we all learn in different ways. This means that I tailor my lessons to the style and speed of my students because I want them to develop the same love for music that I have. I will help them set goals and find pieces that are not only challenging, but enjoyable. I love it when my students master a piece that used to be very challenging for them so I will always encourage them and acknowledge their progress. Read More

I like to use a method for guitar that emphasizes reading notes instead of just tabs, and also emphasizes rest stroke and free stroke. Read More

Whatever instrument private studies we are working on, a balanced approach of performance, literature, theory, and technique are studied. Once the groundwork is established, we even work through composition on their chosen instrument. Students work at their own pace. I have some students who move quite swiftly through their levels, and that is great. Others may need more time, and that is fine. I do find that students who utilize regular and purposeful home practice will tend to get through levels a fair amount quicker. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
