Instruments: Violin, Viola, Electric Violin, Fiddle

I collaborate with my students to determine their needs and goals. When starting out with beginners, I usually start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements for Strings. I then transition to Suzuki repertoire. I also include music individual to each student based on their interests. My methods are flexible and designed to draw out the strengths of each student. I like to have open communication with my students, and I like to get feedback from my students about where they are at so I can meet them there. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin, Fiddle, Music

Almost all of my experience as a musician has been as a performer of music and as a student of music. The process of collaborative music making at heart is teaching and learning. I have had only a few private paying music students, and I have not taught music in a classroom setting. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Violin

My hope is to guide students early on and teach good technique from the start so that they will not have to change bad habits later on. Read More

Everyone is different therefore not everyone is going to be taught the same way or follow the same pace. Read More

Instruments: Violin

All lesson plans are centered around each individual student, their interests, and skill level. All students will learn different etudes that foster technical development and support their solo repertoire. For students that are less experienced they will work out of the Essentials for Strings series. Other early string series books can be considered if already purchased by the student. More advanced students will use the Kreutzer etudes. Beginning to Intermediate students will typically choose solo repertoire from the Suzuki series, but are welcome to suggest anything they want to learn. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
