I play a variety of music. I teach fingerpicking and strumming. My teaching style all depends on what you want to learn. I will teach you almost anything from contemporary Christian and traditional gospel to rock and country. My method is pretty simple. Start from scratch. its a process of learning for me as well. i sit down with every student and create a custom lesson plan after the first lesson. everyone is different and i can cater to everyones needs! every musician learns in a different way. for children i tend to use more book oriented lesson and try to keep it very structered to cater to their eveyr growing minds. For adults i try to cater moire to their musical likes and what they want out of their particular instrument. we always stay positive and have alot of fun no matter the level. Read More

First I need to know the type of music a student likes. Then I access their level and put together a plan to make them progress by teaching them a combination of; - techniques they need to know and master - exercises to help develop those techniques - songs based on their level and music taste - theory to understand the songwriting style - songwriting exercises to develop their artist side I also recommend music and videos, talk about gear, road experience, and anything else music related a student might be interested in. My method is divided in two categories: Application and theory. For beginning students we work on basic motor skills for the instrument. Through simple exercises, utilizing patterns from diagrams, most students gain a proficiency at handling the instruments within weeks. During this time students are also introduced to the notes and common chords, learning their names, titles and relationships to each other on the fretboard. Once the instrument has become familiarized and the students are comfortable enough, then we'll begin introducing theory into practice. Read More
