I've had the experience and privilege of teaching students ranging from 5 years olds to adults in their 60's during the past 7 years. The core philosophy of teaching music lessons for me is that inspiration and motivation in a music lesson come from finding enjoyment and reward from the learning process. Once the instrument has become familiarized and the students are comfortable enough, then we'll begin introducing theory into practice. Read More

For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. I truly believe in giving my students the freedom to select the songs and/or genres they like and that's because I believe passion is an integral aspect of learning. Read More
