I then attended Housatonic College where the Costanzo brothers, Sonny and Sam, headed the music department. Sonny is a renowned trombonist in the New York City area who has played over the years with Clark Terry’s big band and now leads his own.             One of the highlights into my ventures with jazz was to study under John Mehegan, noted scholar, author and educator. I like to take into account the students music preference and learn what specifically they want to get out of private lessons. Read More

My teaching style basically is to just have fun. I tailor my lessons with the students based on what they want to learn. For example, if they want to learn Jazz and Blues and Disney to accompany the Hanon, Theory, and Thompson, then they will learn that as well. Basically, it's just whatever additional genres of music the student wants to learn in addition to what they are required to learn from my lessons, which is Hanon as they progress, Theory, and Thompson or Bastien depending on what level or age they are. Instruments: Piano

I first began teaching music students in 2002, with my very first student being on guitar. Since then I've been priveleged to teach beginning guitar, beginning drums, and piano to students as young as 3 and as old as 60. I also worked at Gymboree Play n' Music where I taught music classes to children and their parents from 6 months old through 5 years old. While in college, I played gigs with my band in north and south Louisiana, directed music for contemporary worship services at various churches, led youth bands, and participated in the Centenary College's: Jazz Band (piano drums), Cantare Choir (voice), Wind Ensemble (percussion), Percussion Ensemble, and Chamber Orchestra (percussion).
