I have been playing the piano for twelve years. I graduated from Stetson University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance and from the University of Texas in El Paso (UTEP) with a Masters of Music in Piano Performance in 2022. I have performed in Italy, Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Texas, on a solo level and collaboration. I approach teaching music as building skills as a person first, and music follows. Teaching music means teaching confidence, determination, perseverance, and concentration. I work on all of these skills with my students, and how they relate to playing an instrument. Although I believe in challenging my students to go above and beyond, I also teach at a pace that is comfortable and appropriate for each individual skill level. I approach teaching in a very relaxed manner. If my students learn in a certain type of way I will differentiate my teaching style to accommodate them. I believe all students can learn and enjoy music, it is just a matter of finding the way that speaks to them the most. I do this by first seeing their experience level, asking where they are hoping to be, setting realistic goals, and by acknowledging their mile stones to keep their motivations high. Read More
