I started singing recreationally of my own volition at age 5, coming up with improvised musicals in my parents' living room and filming them with my mom's camcorder. I took advanced choir classes in middle school and high school and was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for several rock bands throughout high school. As I mentioned before, my teaching style can best be described as easygoing, but precise and adapted to each students needs. I focus on the person trying to learn as much as on the learning itself. My teaching experience comes from the church as early as 13 year old I formed a youth choir called The Worshippers. We performed at churches throughout Chicago area. We also appeared on radio and cable shows. I developed music collaboration programs; recorded and transcribed music for performances for many up and coming artist. I think both should know upfront what the expectations should be, such as how long they will practice, what proper progress and growth looks like, as well as what they need from me to help them succeed.
