Overview:
I have a great love of music and ejoy sharing my gifts with others. I have performed in many musicals and I am a founding member of the theater company named The Perry Players. I sing for various functions thrugh out the year. I have performed for the govener's award banquet. I have also taught many vocal and theory master classes for schools and church choirs.
EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching choir for eighteen years. I have also taught drama and dance. My choir has won numerous awards and I usualy bring a large number of students to district festival and all city choir. I encourage my students to explore all aspects of music to make a better musician.
METHODS USED
I utilize differentiated instrutcion tayloring the lesson to met the students need. I combine technology, solfege and vocal pedegogy. I use Essential Elements, Vacci, Something to Sing About and various other materials.
LESSON STYLE
My style is very up beat and motivational. While teaching the material I keep it fun so the student enjoys what they are doing and the lesson doesn't get stagnet. I pay close attention to the student and teach the concepts in many ways to assist.
