I am a versatile singing teacher, vocal coach and professional performer with over 26 years of extensive background in performing and teaching in China, Canada and the U.S.. After receiving Bachelor Degrees from two outstanding Chinese Music Colleges and Universities, I performed as a primary singer for a leading Chinese performance orchestra for nearly 15 years. I also won major national and regional singing competitions throughout China, including First Place in the most important national competition. Additionally, I performed extensively as a classical soloist in theaters, concert halls and clubs, both in China and Vancouver, British Columbia, where I immigrated in 2008.
I teach all levels and use a wide variety of methods for teaching, matching the students with what is most effective for their learning style and goals. I typically teach one-on-one with the student in my home office, giving vocal coaching and singing lessonsn lessons for children, adults, individuals and small groups; beginning or advanced levels. Students always love being in my class as I teach with patience and understanding, but have clear expectations about the proper way to sing and perform by creating a personalized lesson plan tailored to your needs.
My lessons are highly individualized and directed to the musical level of my students. My students always comment that my patience, passion and honesty help them achieve singing and performing levels that they never imagined possible. I start every new student with an honest appraisal of their starting point as well as their potential. I am very outgoing and try to understand fully each student’s aspirations and dedication, which is quite important. With personalized individual instruction, you'll learn as much as you want and building your singing and performing skills in a most enjoyable way. I will provide an interesting lesson plan for each different level of student. I will help you find your voice and experience the thrill of training t properly.
