Stefanie made her international operatic debut last season as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore with Musica Viva Hong Kong. This spring, she premiered a role in each of Bruce Saylor’s world premiere one-act operas, My Kinsman, Major Molineux & The Image Maker.
An avid linguist, Stefanie has studied languages and performed recitals in Italy, Germany and Austria, and was chosen as the first-ever recipient of the National Italian American Foundation’s Andrea Bocelli Music Scholarship. She holds a B.M. from NYU and both an M.A. and Advanced Performance Certificate from CUNY Queens College. She is a student of Dr. Sherry Overholt. This summer, she performed the role of Monica in Menotti’s The Medium in Provincetown, MA, which will be followed by an off-Broadway run later this fall.
She has portrayed many Mozart heroines, including Pamina, Susanna, Despina and Mlle. Silberklang. Other recent roles performed include Dominick Argento’s Postcard from Morocco (Lady with a Hand Mirror), Candide (Cunegonde), Sweeney Todd (Johanna), and HMS Pinafore (Josephine). Her recent concert appearances include the title role in Debussy’s La Damoiselle Élue, and soprano soloist in Handel’s Judas Maccabaeus with the Queens College Choral Society.

Bel Canto style vocal technique, with emphasis on breathing, resonance and registration. Diction in English, Italian, German, French, Latin and Spanish available.
Lessons will be broken up into warm-ups/vocal building exercises, plus application of techniques to repertoire appropriate to student's level and age. Additionally, some musicianship (rhythm, sight-reading, etc) may be incorporated into lessons.
