I was born in Turkmenistan. I started to study saxophone at ten years old. In 1993 I entered The College of Donatar Ovezov where I studied with the Art director of the Band “Gunesh”, Professor Oleg Korolev, who taught me the Jazz fundamentals that gave me a beginning to my career. During those years I got inspired from meeting one of the most famous saxophonists in Turkmenistan, Stas Morozov, Evgenii Chuprun and the most memorable master class with Giant Jazz star Bob Berg in 1994. In 1997 I graduated from Turkmen National Conservatory as a jazz performer. I participated as a soloist in many festivals sponsored by the American Embassy in Turkmenistan. My passion to learn different styles of jazz brought me to Yerevan Conservatory where I studied with the professor Alexander Manoukyan. After graduating the Yerevan Conservatory I entered to Yerevan Postgraduate School and graduated with Honors in Classical Performance. During these years I was participating in classical academic concerts with National Symphonic Orchestra of Yerevan and Jazz Big Band under conductor Y. Yerzinkyan. I had a pleasure meeting and working with Armenian Jazz celebrities Artem Laloyan, Armen Husnunts and Vahagn Hairapetyan. I participated in many famous Jazz Bands of Yerevan such as Armadam, Amaraz and The Caps. I was part of Yamaha where I received Laureate of a third place. Later on I moved back to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan where I continued performing and participating in many Jazz Concerts. I held a huge number of concerts for American, German and French embassies where I met and played with Will Power, Chriss Bayers, Zeid Nessir, Ari Rolland and the bands Fun Horns , Hugo’s Band and mane others. I created my band The Arvana that traveled to different cities around Middle Asia such as Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Russia and Armenia. My arrangements and compositions are a fusion of Jazz and Ethnic music that reached many hearts. I like play different styles Funk, Fusion, Ethno, Bebop, Hard Bop and many others. I’d like to sharing my extended multicultural experience and passion to music with Berklee College and improve my knowledge . I was teaching woodwind instruments for the Jazz Department in Tukrmen National Conservatory for three years, and also worked as a soloist and conductor of the Circus Jazz Orchestra of Turkmenistan. Last years living in Turkmenistan I performed in two concerts where I played the Ch.Parker Time and dedication to John Coltrane in the first and the second performance was one of the most difficult solos that was composed by the greatest Turkmen composer Redjep Allayarov with National Turkmen Symphonic Orchestra in memory to Nessimi.
My teaching experience has been over 10 years,
I would love share my professional knowledge and passion in music with students of different ages. Accommodating individual lesson for students depending on their level. Energetic attitude, dependable, reliable and dedicated work ethics. I have created my own methods of combining classical and jazz styles to achieve better results where the students can progress with ease, fun and good basics
