Music has been my life.. I was born in Russia...Started to learn piano since 6 years old.. I went to Music school for 7 years , then continued music education for 4 years in Music College, and for 4 years in University... I became professional musician - a piano and piano accordion player. Beside performing I was teaching students in different Music schools and Music college...I have a Master degree in Music in both Russia and United States. I taught music in Music College in Russia for twenty years and had been teaching for more than ten years in USA.
My teaching experience is more then thirty years.... I started to teach in Music schools and College in Russia. Here in USA I give private lessons for already fourteen years in my studio at home. I also play piano in Congregational church in Dallas every Sunday. I am Assistant of Music Director for 7 years... I also worked in Good Samaritan Church for 4,5 years as a pianist. As Accordion player I got few Awards for two of First places and one for Second place on National Roland Competiton and also I had represented USA on International Contest in Rome, 2012
I've got a huge experience for all my teaching and performing life... My lessons are for all ages. I worked with young and old, from ages 6 till 90, and each lesson is tailored to the student's age and ability. After first lesson I can see what method I can use for that student. Young kids I prefer to teach by classical music pattern paying attention to technical stuff increasing technic (scales, chords, arpeggios, etudes...) Students in old ages go through more easy reading song, their favorite, using Hal Leonard's books with names keys....Everything is dependent on for sure...
My teaching style is Patience to every student and developing, and keeping interest in learning instrument. Music is the Art! To learn how to hear music, understand it's deep emotional line and be able to work on sound takes a time. It's our goal. Before music starts to sound nicely we parallely learn theory stuff, from simple major and minor chords, their inversions, their arpeggios... jazz theory helps to hear and play Jazz Standards , to hear mo smooth movements in chords progressions ... and many more stuff...
