Overview:
I am a highly organized, outcome-driven and motivated professional piano teacher with solid experience. In 1994 I graduated from Music College in Tumen, Russia, with B.M.Ed of Music Education. Throughout my teaching career, of over 20 years, I have been driven to help my students achieve their very best. With my belief that music has the power to change lives, I feel that I help my students not only learn how to play the piano but learn how to enjoy it. I believe this is a role to which I could bring greater value by helping students develop their talents while also nurturing their passion for music.
EXPERIENCE
I started teaching in 1987, during my first year in college and have continued teaching ever since. I have worked as a piano teacher and an accompanist in Music School in Russia. My students participated in different competitions and concerts. After moving to America, I continued teaching at the Studio and have a lot of current pupils that are thriving. My students enter different competitions around Houston area.
METHODS USED
I use different curriculums: 5-6 years old- Music for Little Mozarts 6 years old and older- Piano Adventures by N. and R. Faber/ Alfreds Premier Piano Course/Russian Course by Nikolaev Older beginners - I use different curriculum according student abilities and interests. I use suplemental material: Classics and Piano arrangements of Jazz.& Blues.
LESSON STYLE
I am a qualified and professional music teacher with a passion for sharing all things musical. I believe that music can change lives for the better. I thrive to equip students with the skills that will see them excel no matter which path they choose to take in music. I want my students to be able to open any music book and play what ever it is that makes them happy.
