I am a driven and passionate instructor who loves to enrich students lives through the arts. I graduated from Royal Academy of Dance and Royal Academy of Music with a double major in Ballet and Operatic Music. I studied music personally under USC Professor Alison Amidon. I studied under Mischa Morgovsky from age 8 until 14. I have had the pleasure of performing with live orchestras in LA, New York. Beijing, and London. I toured Beijing with Beijing School of Performing Arts during my time there getting my business degree.
My teaching experience begins when I apprenticed under my Choral teacher in high school and she would ask me to work one on one with certain singers that needed extra help. I started teaching private lessons part time at 17 and continued all through college. I have been consistently teaching students in my home for the past 5 years. I am a firm believer that in order to truly excel in anything you must have a classical foundation. I try to use both in my lessons so that the students can both learn the technique but also play or sing what they enjoy.
For beginning students who are children, I introduce theory, rhythm, as well as the instrument to give them a basic understanding of all of the aspects of music. Once the students has a basic grasp of the fundamentals, we will learn songs appropriate for their level. For adult students, I try to teach based on their interests, choose appropriate repertoire and help them meet and accomplish their own goals. The most important is that the students are enjoying themselves and learning - my main goal is to help the students succeed.
I love watching my students develop their passion for music! And so, I do my utmost to challenge each student as much as possible at their own pace. We will set goals for the students in every lesson. Hitting certain milestones help the students to feel motivated, and want to push themselves more. Each student is different and so they learn differently, I do my best to learn from the student and tailor my teaching style to their particular learning style. I hope that my students leave each lesson invigorated and excited to practice and learn more.
