I received my BA in violin performance from the University of Colorado at Denver and also attended UNC where I received a viola scholarship. I play both the violin and viola, having the viola as my primary instrument.

I received my BA in violin performance from the University of Colorado at Denver and also attended UNC where I received a viola scholarship. I play both the violin and viola, having the violin as my primary instrument.
EXPERIENCE
I have taught individual private lessons for the last seven years and have continued to perform and compose. I want all of my students to play to the best of their ability and in accordance with their playing style and really enjoy playing!
METHODS USED
I begin lessons using tradititonal method books, from Belwin String Builder to Maia Bang, to Strictly Strings. We focus on establishing foundations and building a repertoire which the student truly enjoys.
LESSON STYLE
It's my goal to teach in a way that relates to the individual student and their goals. I spend time focusing on at what point each student is, in the accomplishment of their goals. Encouragement and patient accomplishment are important aspects of my lessons.
