METHODS USED
I take a innovative approach to Music lessons to reach students goals and to develop the artist with in . I use the latest and most innovative methods to teach students . I can also teach the Suzuki piano method . Some of my methods that I use are Carol Matz interactive piano method, the Suzuki piano method, in addition to Faber and Faber piano adventures . I also use games from music mind games to teach students concepts such as rhythm dynamics and to introduce students to reading music. Once students have gotten out of the method books I usually put them in the Faber and Faber classical piano series which has small classical pieces they can play. In addition to catering to music they enjoy.
LESSON STYLE
My goal for my students in lessons is to give them the following:
A good foundation in technique through scales, arpeggios and technique exercises
A knowledge of dynamics and the ability to be able to make their own dynamic decisions at the piano
A knowledge of improvisation by creating their own melodies and accompaniments
A chance to explore there own musical interests, from Classical to Rock
An incorporation of games in the lesson to reinforce concepts from rhythm to indentyfying note names at the piano
