Overview:
I'm a professional Jazz/Fusion piano/keyboard artist/composer & teacher. I love sharing my knowledge with my students. I graduated from Berklee College Of Music, Boston, MA with a BM in Professional Music - focusing on Jazz/Fusion composition & songwriting. As a sideman, I've performed with Blues/Jazz/ Pop/Rock/ Country bands all over the east coast & parts of Canada. Currently residing in Columbus, OH, actively playing solo, with my trio & quartet.
EXPERIENCE
I started teaching piano & Jazz improvisation in 1993 in Russia. I moved to the US in 1997 & graduated from Berklee College Of Music in 2002. I came back to teaching privately in 2006 - present. I teach my students Jazz related & Classical piano - Jazz improvisation techniques & writing - if they are interested. My teaching experience is over 13 years. My playing experience is over 25 years.
METHODS USED
For general piano - Piano Adventures & such methods. For advanced interests in Jazz & such genres - my own methods/experience gained over the years & studying Jazz music at the best institutions all around. I also help students of any instrument who are going to pursue their Jazz studies at College.
LESSON STYLE
I'm open to students of any level. Develop friendship with a student & encourage the student to practice - listen & perform on a regular basis.
