Overview:
I'm a passionate and motivated instructor and I love working with students and getting them to reach their maximum potential. Growing up, I was influenced by gospel music and played in church at a young age. Later on I gained a lot of marching band experience and training in music theory in the Frederick county Advanced Music Studies program. I have experience playing with many bands around the D.C metro area and have played in a range of small and large venues. One of my private instructors growing up was Rob Cross, who was a student of Mike Mangini during his stay at Berklee College of Music. I was accepted into Berklee in 2014 and I am currently studying Music Business. Perfomance highlights include the Berklee Performance center and the Mega Convention center in Orlando, Florida. 
EXPERIENCE
I have been teaching since the age of 15. I've trained young church drummers as well as older individuals looking to either get back into drumming or improve their skills even more. No matter the skill level, my approach focuses on maxing the potential of the student. My playing experience spands more than 12 years in churches, bars, shows, and small business events. 
METHODS USED
My methods are straight forward. I focus on developing or improving fundementals such as rudiments and then applying them to the drum-set. Everyone starts off at a different place, so I mold the process to fit the certain student in a way that helps them improve at their own pace. I mainly focus on rudiments, groove, and how to be a versitile drummer in order to get gigs.
LESSON STYLE
I love seeing students develope a passion for music. I find that your teacher plays a big part in your development as a musician so the last thing I want to do is force a student to play something they cannot. Instead I create exercises that help them develope the skill neccesary to complete a certain goal. This helps the student build discipline in learning and dedication to reach a goal
