I started teaching back in 1995 due to repeated requests from customers at the music store where I was working retail at the time. Turned out to be the best decision I ever made as I left the retail world within 1 more year and never went back. When I was growing up I did not have a teacher which is why I love being able to do this so much. "Be Who You Needed When You Were Younger" has been an incredibly rewarding path for both me and my students. I am truly passionate about providing for others what I did not receive myself. I have taught thousands of students in all age and skill ranges over the last few decades.
Each student gets a personalized lesson plan built around their musical preferences and playing style. I view our lessons as a collaboration rather than a lecture. Tell me where you would like to end up and I will assemble an action plan to get you there. Do you just want to strum some simple songs or learn music theory and how to improvise? Would you like to write your own songs or just play other people's music note for note? Tell me what gets you excited and motivated to pick up the guitar and we will make it happen!!
As mentioned previously my teaching style is collaborative. I love working with students to help them achieve their musical goals and it is incredibly rewarding to watch their individual progress along their musical journey. I like to encourage and challenge students to become the best player that they can. Supporting the students as they make their way towards their goal is a big part of what I do. Providing supplementary educational materials or extra time and attention is all part of the service!!

I have learn to play several instruments over the pass 60 years and a few have required a teacher. Tim has been the best instructor/teacher I have had on my journey. He is a true professional. He effortless blends the requirements of the day to day mundane practice with the theory of why it sounds best when done a certain way. Always aware of how l as a student learned. If it wasn't for Mr. Tim M. I wouldn't be where I am today with playing Guitar. I have known Tim for over 20 Years. I am currently 40 years old, but first met Tim by luck by starting lessons at Dellview Music Center. At that time I was in High School, and just wanted to learn how to play my favorite songs by Metallica. Tim has such an immense passion for music and guitar that carries over into his music lessons. He will make sure you have the tools to do whatever you want on guitar. Of course you have to put in the work but his guidance, knowledge and wisdom is unmatched. After taking lessons for a while through my younger high school years life happened. I wasn't so consistent with playing but went back to Tim a few years later when I picked guitar back up. Around this time I started Nursing school and got super busy but I never lost my love for playing guitar and music. I recently googled search Tim because it had been years since I last played. I knew he would take care of me. He got me back up and running with great advice on the guitar and amp that would be a best fit for me. Now that I'm more settled in with my personal life I am grateful to reconnect with Tim. I have been taking lessons recently with him and looking forward to keep growing with my guitar. The thing I have always appreciated with Tim is that he makes this your journey. It's whatever you want to play and learn with music and guitar. Tim can cover all genres of music that you want with all his guidance and knowledge he will give you the tools to be an awesome musician. I can honestly say Tim has been a big part of my life cause I love music and guitar and he has helped me fulfill playing this beautiful instrument. You wont regret taking lessons with him! Rock on!
