In 2014, I graduated from Academy of Music Ljubljana (Slovenia) with a Masters degree of Musical Arts in Flute Performance. I had an opportunity to perform as a solist, chamber group member and as a member of Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra around Europe. While studying, I was a flute teahcer employed by the Music School Amarilis. I greatly enjoyed observing the progress of my students made, especially during the concerts I organized for them to perform in. I am looking forward to share my knowledge of music with a whole new group of students as soon as possible.
While studying, I was a flute teacher at the Music School Amarilis as well as teaching a few students that took classes at their home. My flute class consisted of a wide range of induviduals. I was able to manage a plan for each student that would assure that we would acomplish their goals by the end of the year. Beside enjoying the music itself, one of the very important parts of learning any insturment is that the sutudent practices regurarly. At the end of the year I like to organize a concertto showcase students progress and boost confidence in their ablilites. This is usually the highlight of the season and is intended to leave both the students and the family in the audience thrilled wiht the results.
For me is very important to know what are the students ambitions are from the beggnining; weither they are taking lessons to play flute just for fun or if they have higher aspirations. From there I can make a proper study plan for them as an induvidual, which is paramount in helping achieve the students expectations. For beginners, I will start with all the necessary information that you need about the flute: how to handle the flute, how to clean it up after practicing, and then move onto correct breating, first tone etc...For more experienced fluitests, I will get to know about their background knowledge and have them play the last pieces that have learned to get an idea of where we would start. From there we can go on to work towards their future goals, whatever they may be.
I love to share my music knowledge and I like to met new people. I am an open minded teacher and can adapt the teaching plan for students with different abilities and needs. The most important thing for me is that a student enjoys the music we are playing and learning process they are involved in and therefore make any adjustments necessary to make that a reality. I would like that my students learn something new, something that will be valuable for him/her in the future every time we have a lesson.
