Graduated Summa Cum Laude
My name is T'Pring, and I have been playing the flute since the tender age of 11. I Have performed in concert band as well as marching band. I have wanted to play the Flute since the age of 7, and at the age of 11 my wish came true when my father purchased me my very first Flute! I also hold a degree in Naturopathy. Apart from music I love History and try to become apart of History! I have met former President Bush, and the Governor of Ohio just to name a few! I do hope that you choose me to become your teacher!
I started teaching the Flute at the age of 12 when I had neighborhood kids want to learn how to play but were not old enough to learn at school. The hobby of me teaching neighborhood kids soon became a passion and I have taught Flute lessons to children and adults! I will provide an instrument to use while I am teaching if you wish. Playing the Flute is a passion of mine as well as teaching others how to play it! In high school I was a mentor and assisted the band director with struggling Flutists.
I believe that in order to be successful we should start from the beginning. With this being said we will first start out with scales and then work our way up. If the student is struggling with a certain scales or notes we will concentrate on those until he or she masters them and then move forward. Teaching is about patience and understanding. I have both! Once scales are mastered we will focus on simple songs and then progress. Music is everything to me and I hope that my love for music will be beneficial.
My teaching style for playing the Flute is patience, fun and compassion. I was once a beginner and started from the bottom and worked my way up. I only would like that for my students. I will make a reward chart for my student and for every note or scale mastered there will be a sticker put on the board. Once I find out what inspires my student I will start making my lesson plans to accommodate the student. We will work at the students own pace to receive the most instruction necessary.
