I was born in Albania and began my music education at age six in a professional music school. I studied piano for eight years as my primary instrument and continued four years as a secondary as the flute became my primary and favorite instrument. I graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana, and was granted the American equivalent to my degree, a Bachelor’s in Music Education, with a Major in Flute Performance. I have received recognition as a teacher and musician. I taught piano, flute, theory of music, at professional music schools in Albania and worked as chief music specialist of the Center of Culture for Children, organizing and directing special musical events and recitals for elementary, middle, and high school students. During my career, I participated in various chamber ensemble and symphonic orchestras, as well as national competitions.

For the past 15 years I have worked for Orange County Public Schools with the ESE Department in elementary schools, helping special education students.
I base my curriculum on an individual student’s needs, skills, and personal preferences in style/genre. I have experience teaching both the Classic and Suzuki methods. I approach teaching by focusing on fundamental theory and techniques. For more experienced students enrolled in school musical programs, lessons will support their class curriculum and help work on the skills they need to succeed in their class and their performances.
I enjoy teaching students at all ages and abilities and encourage a passion for music. Above all else, I want to help students achieve the musical goals they are trying to reach and play the pieces they want to play. This will make the lesson entertaining and fulfilling for the student while working to succeed with the learning goals I want to reach with them. I strongly believe that with patience and determination, any student can become the musician they want to be. I feel privileged I was given the opportunity to learn music in my life and even more privileged to be able to share my knowledge in teaching others in experiencing the beautiful world of music.
