In 2011, I graduated from Dresden University of Music with a Master of Arts degree in Music Pedagogy / Vocal Studies Jazz Rock Pop. Performing all over Germany, and touring Poland, Czech Republic and Austria, I gained my experience as a vocal artist in ensembles of versatile genres including Jazz, Rock, Pop, Latin, Chanson, Folk, World Music and Contemporary Music.
My teaching experience started 8 years ago, when I began teaching private lessons part time while studying. Since 2006, I have been consistantly teaching students in my home studio as well as in several music schools. I taught novices as well as professional actors. Beside vocal lessons, I have been teaching Piano and Flute for beginners, provoding Ear Training, Music Theory, Improvisation and Songwriting classes and led young musicians to their entry exam for College / University studies.
Depending on the student's age and wishes, the lesson will be a playful voice exploration or knowledge-sharing instructions. For all my students, I use physiologically based training methods, when it comes to voice technique. After some time, I know your voice better to lead you to a legit yet powerful sound or work with you on genre-specific details. I implement improvising games into my lessons, as they let my students play with their musical ideas and make use of their creativity. You know what you want - I know how you can get there!
Nothing is more rewarding than guiding students to develop their own style while having fun exploring new territories! To get there, I usually start off with a song out of the students' favorite genre or pieces the students bring. Knowing your wants and needs, I'll tailor the next steps and exercises to get you to your individual sound - encouraging you to get ready for stage!
