I am a teacher of music graduated in the Institute of Training in Arts and Media in Ciudad Guayana - Venezuela, who loves to impart musical knowledge not only in what instrumental performance is concerned but also musical reading. I am very versatile in terms of musical genres and I love sharing the knowledge I have acquired in more than 30 years of musical studies in different music institutes as well as in the Youth Orchestra System of Venezuela and personal teachers. I have also participated in different symphonic concerts of the orchestral system of Venezuela.
My experience as a trumpet teacher began 20 years ago when I was director of the Band Show of the "Los Proceres" School. From there I have taught music in different schools in Venezuela, as well as in the National Musical Project part of the State Foundation for the National System of Youth and Children Orchestras of Venezuela - FESNOJIV. I was also professor of music theory and music reading at the Institute of Arts and Media Training. I like that the student has fun while learning as well as teach how important is the daily practice to perfect the musical performance.
As for the method I use to teach trumpet, it varies according to each person. It will depend on the age, the previous musical knowledge that the student has, as well as the musical genre that you want to learn. If the student is a child, child-friendly methods are used to promote learning without causing exhaustion in the child so that he or she will love the instrument. In the case of adults, the musical level and the genre that you want to perform are evaluated and based on that, the method to be taught is chosen. Regardless of age, the aim is to promote the daily practice of the instrument using exercises to strengthen the technique of instrumental performance while having fun in the process. I think that music should flow in each student, not impose, that is why they are looking for teaching methods so that they learn while having fun.
I am a patient person and always try to impel the student's passion and desire to learn more, not to overpress them in order to overwhelm them, but to encourage them to give their best not only in the class but also in their daily practice. instrument. I have taught many classes to both adults and children and it is important with the latter to create a fun learning environment so that they do not get bored in the process and feel that they are being burdened, but rather create the positive expectation for each class.
