Overview:
I have been teaching music for 45 years and by the time I was 9 I already mastered 3 instruments my last teacher could not teach me any longer because I knew more than him as he suggested to find another teacher. I love to teach music I even like to manage bands. When I teach you learn and when you learn that is how I know I did a good job. I also teach students how to write their own music.
EXPERIENCE
I am a guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, and a producer. I have three cds out and one in Germany with my own rock band at www.Vitalpointmusic.com, myspace.com, and facebook under “Vitalpoint Rocks” I've obtained two master degrees one in music and in education, as well as a PhD in Music education I've had my music produced by Badfingers Joey molland, which was the first band signed to The Beatles' Apple Records recording lable, and have also performed with the Del Vikings, Ben E. king, The Mamas and papas, and recorded with Al Greenwood from Foreigner in addition to many local groups. I've written two instructional books for both guitar and vocals, and I'm currently writing a third. I also have plans to record another cd
METHODS USED
My methods are simple I teach with the student not above them My important areas of music read, write, play, and also write your own music and I can give you just about everything you need to be a player and a good one. I also teach empirical style which means you play along side of me. In my view action speaks louder than words you have just study with me you won't be sorry
LESSON STYLE
Again I teach all styles and start with the basics and get you to play, read, and write your own music right away My reward is that you learn your reward is that you can play this is a two way street of this journey and we can go as far as you like. I also can teach you about the music biz and what they look for in talent that is, the instrument I instruct you on. Oh well check it out if you are serious
