I am a person who believes in teaching music to all ages. Through teaching I am hoping that I inspire students to follow their dreams on trying to achieve their goals in life. As a teacher I hope to gain the trust of my students by being the person that can help them progress forward in a chosen music career. I take pride in what I do. Hopefully I can encourage others to do the same.
I began my teaching career as a private lesson teacher in 2000. Then I advanced into the private schools from grades k-12 from 2001-2003. During this time I taught children that had special needs. They became one of my best students. I taught in public schools as well in 2008. I did private lessons for six years in between from 2003-09.
As a teacher,I teach based on a students needs. Teaching methods are developed according to the weak areas in where a student needs to improve. Once i observed the problem a method is then developed. I can used methods from teaching books or create my own method. All methods are not the same for individual students. Observation is the key to a successful method.
Well I try to be upbeat and friendly. I try to get to know my students and their problems with the instruments. Once I find the problem ,a plan is then created for the student. Also I might have students coming from different places or cultures. So my style of teaching comes from learning my student goals and needs.
Very patient with my daughter.
Mr. Walter J. is a very friendly man who shows a real love of children and music. He is patient but asks for focus and effort. A nice start for my son's music education.
Walter is extremely warm and friendly as well as a very patient instructor. My daughter really seems to like him and taking lessons. Thanks so much for sending him our way!
Mr. Walter is a wonderful teacher. He is very encouraging and kind.
Even though I want to play songs write away, Walter emphasizes the importance of creating piano scale drills with both hands, and it is working. Timing is everything!!!
Walter is good in handling the kids. He is very friendly and brings new ideas to teach kids.
