I am a solo and collaborative pianist, also a very experienced and passionate teacher who would love to work with students and share my love of music. I have been studying since I was 5 years old. In 2020 I graduated from Schwob school of music of Columbus state university with Artist diploma and Master degree in Piano Performance. Working with The Schwob Philharmonic for years, performing all over the world, collaborating with talented musicians has been one of my greatest experience of my life as a mature musician.
My teaching experience dates back to my college days as a undergraduate student. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I also encourage all of my students to participate competitions and recitals, as well as on composing their own style of music, as a way to express also to stay motivated to learn. I am looking forward to meet students of all ages!
For younger beginners, I typically start with Hal Leonard’s essential elements, every once in a while, I encourage them to find their favorite song (it can be any type of music) to study and play in the lesson. It can be the entertainment during lessons. The purpose it to make lessons more fun and keep them motivated. For adults, I always try to find out what is the best, what the student is interested in, what is the goal, guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons fun and productive.
I encourage all students to communicate with me, express how they feel, what do they want to approach in general, so that we have the same goal, we will make effort together. Also encourage them to practice as much as they can after lessons, so we consistently making progress. Meanwhile, encourage them to participate more and more performance and competitions, it is not only about the actual rewards, it is also about building their confidence, ability, strength through the study of an instrument.
Excellent teacher! Patient and passionate, and so so nice, loved the lessons!
