Overview:

I have been a bass player for over 15 years and have played in numerous projects and recordings. Main focus has been rock n roll, rock en español and singer/songwriter projects. I have my own recording studio in downtown la, I can provide a variety of services to students that includes media and can be a facilitator of services if I myself can fulfill the students needs. I have played music since I was 10 years and have gained a ton of knowledge academic and firsthand experience and has served me well in my experience.

EXPERIENCE

I have given lessons over the years at middle schools and privately and enjoy seeing a student put in the work and hear them play what the songs/ riffs they wanted too. I have the capacity to record yourself and accompany you on keyboards or drums and can build on that. I have a team to bring your ideas and creativity to life and for everyone to see and hear or it can all be just for you. Music can be a solo mission or with a collective with great players with the same mission and passion, my experience speaks for it.

METHODS USED

I use methods I learned from my studies at CSULA and my personal experience over the years and learning various instruments and rehearing and performing with people from different age groups. Everyone can teach you something, it doesn’t matter their age, a persons drive, discipline and curiosity will learn and can show others. When it comes to kids I am more about the basics and literal but with older kids and adults it is different because we understand feel and groove and dynamics which translates to different words.

LESSON STYLE

I can be a more laid-back teacher, but this is only if I see that the student has been practicing has been paying attention to the feedback and is taking it in as criticism and not personal. If there is a lack of progression, then we have to communicate what is restricting them or getting in the way of them practicing so we can move along and make them a better player. I asked about what they want to learn and see if it is possible within the students capabilities and if it is not, then I tend to show them some basics or some techniques that will get them to that point or with practice overtime they will achieve what they asked for
