Bachelor Degree: UACH
I'm a passionate musician and artist that has dedicated more than half of his life to this noble and amazing discipline, which I thoroughly believe that it does become your lifestyle and a way of seeing the world through completely different eyes. Art and music are about compassion, sharing, empathy, and humanity, anyone who decides to learn a musical instrument, or simply admire music and learn its ways even if you don't want to make a living out of it, will surely become a better human being. I have an original rock project called Jack's Madness, I've sang opera with the Symphonic Orchestra of Chihuahua and done a bit of musical theatre with the company Ritual Productions, Broadway Dreams, and Elysian Arts, and I have about 8 years of experience playing with wedding bands, which play a bit of everything.
I started teaching private lessons a little before I started my bachelor's degree, with people who I knew coming to me requesting to be taught. With time, I became more and more aware of my teaching abilities, musical theory, and the responsibility that it was to take someone under your musical guidance and became more and more passionate about passing on the much or little knowledge that I have gathered along the way. I've worked with people of all ages, under different instruments and in completely different contexts, from guitar players wanting to learn how to play simple songs, to semi-professional singers partaking in a musical theatre production under a serious and paid performance.
I work on a case-to-case basis, having in mind the student's musical preferences, guiding them through the genre they want to play (even though of course, the basic music theory knowledge is the same for all of them), there will be students that just want to learn the basics of how to play simple songs, and there will be some that want a more integral guidance of the musical discipline. For singing, I have developed a very particular method after years of learning experience with a variety of teachers, which in a nutshell, is a 3-step program for the basic mechanics of singing, plus the interpretative side.
Every student learns at their own pace, and in their own way. Discovering what type of learner your student is (kinesthetic, auditive, visual), is essential in providing examples and assignments for the student to work on. I do believe that with encouragement and patience, anyone can learn the noble art that is the language of music, you just have to find and fuel the student's interests, make that flame grow into a passion, and then lead with the example, 99% of the time the student will follow, the other 1% of the time you just need to get creative :)
