Hi! I'm a violinist and full-ride scholarship receiver at the Yale School of Music. I also hold a Bachelor of Music Degree with full-ride at the Peabody Institute of Music of the Johns Hopkins University. 17 years of professional training in violin, I'm an accomplished violinist with awards and prizes winning from major compeititons. I'm capable of teaching students from all levels and backgrounds and I give lessons with specific curriculums vary with students, so they could get the most efficient and benefit teaching according to their own needs. Lessons will be fun, I would like my students to enjoy and embrace music without losing the standard of solid techniques and glowing musicality. Hope to explore more in the music world and have fun with you!
I teach students from a wide range of age, level, background, and repertoires. Dating back from 2016 where I started teaching violin the first time, I have taught private lessons, in public schools, group classes, online lessons and classes, and almost any sort of teaching you could apply on violin during these years. I give lessons with specific curriculums vary with students, so they could get the most efficient and benefit teaching according to their own needs. Lessons will be fun, I would like my students to enjoy and embrace music without losing the standard of solid techniques and glowing musicality. Teaching methods are varied according to different students. I believe that each student has their personality and own way of learing, so one way of teaching wouldn't fit all students at the same time. For beginner students who are children, I typically start with some fun musical games to help them learn the fundamentals, for adults I usually jump right on what's needed to establish the basics because efficiency is the priority thing they look for in making progress of playing the violin. For intermidate and advanced students, I help them build up their techniques and musicality from whereever they are, along with some musicological elements that helps building up their musicianship.
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing my students develop a passion for music and real skills the carry it out! Therefore, it's important that each student profresses at this or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs with my years of experience.
Yasmine was absolutely an amazing teacher. She was patient and skillful, my kids loved her so much
