I am a passionate musician who loves to perform in various types of ensembles, create concepts and new ideas in musical composition, and teach students to become closer and more confident in their playing. During my studies at Temple College, I have performed for many well-known musicians including John Mackey, Wyckoff Gordon, and Luis Cknte. I have performed across Texas, including the Mary Gibbs Jones Cincert Hall at Baylor University, in groups big and small, ranging from 3-person chamber ensembles to bands and orchestras as large as 200 musicians. I began teaching lessons in college, and have enjoyed it from the very first day. I try to evaluate each student spefifically and see what they need to improve in the most efficient manner possible. Exercises and drills are present in my lessons, but I alwaystry to teach the bulk of trumpet fundamentals through actual music such as etudes, solos, band music, duets,etc. In this style of teaching, the students can pick what they want to play (after I give them a few guidelines), and we can still target the areas of playing that need work. I'm a dedicated music educator that wants to help students bring out their full potential on their instrument. In 2018, I graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Music Education. While at Baylor, I was a member of the trombone studio under Brent Phillips. I played in all the instrumental ensembles avaliable to play in as a trombonist. I also studied piano as my secondary instrument in college.
