Air is the foundation of a good sound so, in my introductory lessons, I focus heavily on breathing and air support. My teaching philosophy revolved around the idea that music should be fun and engaging. While many teachers start their students off by learning how to read music, I like to begin with actually playing and familiarizing yourself with the instrument and later translating that information to written music notation.
