Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I like to teach one on one with all age groups. I start beginners out on basic methods books to understand them instrument that they are holding and then slowly ease them into more challenging and sophisticated repertoire, including Rochut Etudes, Kopprasch Exercises, Blazhevich, and Blume. In a student's early development I like to introduce solo repertoire and gradually (throughout high school years) introduce a repertoire of Sonatas, Concerti, and excerpts to them. Read More

Each summer I volunteer at my local community music camp where I I teach a wide of variety of students who are touching an instrument for the very first time and students who simply want to improve on their skills. I tell students the same fundamental things that I think about while practicing which consists of regular practice and simply enjoying the music I’m playing. I have spent the past three years living in Miami where I completed my Masters Degree in music education. During this time I was an active trumpet player in south Florida playing with orchestras, brass bands, jazz groups, and quite regularly latin bands due to the popularity of salsa/latin styles in that region. My Bachelors degree was completed in 2006 at the Univeristy of Delware. I completed their music teacher preparation program, participating in both educational studies and a wide range of music ensembles including wind band, brass choir, marching band, and jazz band. First and foremost, learning any musical instrument should be a fun experience. With this in mind, each person's lesson is subjective and progresses according to the student's learning style; a beginning 5 yr old student's lesson will look much different that a beginning 14 yr old student's lesson. Each student will learn repertoire from a lesson book, solo repertoire and anything else that they may express interest in. Different people learn differently and I like to be sensitive to the student's age, mindset and goals.
