Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I believe in individualized learning. So each student will receive their own plan for their progression. Some materials I recommend for students are the rubank book for beginner. It is very important for students to grasp the fundamentals. For intermediate students, we would progress on a track and focus on what they had for goals. I love kids and music and decided to combine the two. Piano lessons from fourth grade through high school furthered my love for instruments. I played flute and piccolo through high school and then graduated with my Bachelors of Instrumental Music Education from Troy in 2005. For complete beginners I use the usual method books used in the public schools. As I get to know the student I tailor the lessons to their skill level and personality to teach the fundamentals. More intermediate students I look at what they do well and areas they need to work on such as embouchure or breathing technique. I teach theary and make sure the student learns how to read music. More advanced students I will teach repertoire and advanced books such as Arban's Mehod book. I will always make sure the fundamentals are taught regardless of the skill level. Read More
