I find music has two important aspects to emphasize, reading and understanding music theory on sight, and hearing and interpreting music. For reading and music theory at it's most basic level I use books like Arban's method. This book contains scales and patterns that are easy to digest for someone learning to read music while also building up the intricate brass technique needed for all brass instruments. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 8 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 5 years.
