Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For students of all ages including myself, I follow and pretty strict but still flexible practice routine. In my own sessions, I tailor them around future performances, auditions, and styles of repertoire that I would like to improve upon. A typical structure would be to go through a series of of exercises that pertain to the music being studied. I'm Darrell! I've been playing music professionally for 15 years and teaching for 10. I absolutely love the blues and anything with SOUL. I studied science and music at Saginaw Valley State University, and work as a Med Tech locally. I have a passion for music that I feel I have to share. For beginners we will take it slow but hard work is always needed. I can teach you everything that I know,but it’s up to the student to take in what’s going on and work hard to get down fundamentals . Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. My biggest goal in teaching students of all walks of life is fostering a life long appreciation and love for music. When I was growing up and learning trombone I found myself removing the emotional parts of creating beautiful music from the instrument and found making music to be a boring part of my day.
