The methods that I would typically use are the Arbans complete Conservatory method for trumpet and Cornet. Schlossberg´s Daily Drills and Studies, Clarkes method and Caruso. I have been studying these four methods quite some time now and understand not only the instruction on the page but the purpose of the excercise itself. I work with my students to develop a strong technical foundation on their instrument, from which we can explore harmony, rhythmic training, ear training and theory. Every student is different so I never take a cookie cutter approach in my lessons. I will address every issue or question each individual student has. I like to figure out what inspires my students and use that to cater their lesson to them. If one of my students really like movie theme music we will learn those songs.
