Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I am a passionate instructor looking to teach my knowledge of trombone to any and all students. In May, 2018 I graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a BA in Music Business. For four years I took lessons with James Erdman, retired Marine Band first chair trombone, and performed in over 4 ensembles every semester. I had one solo recital and three recitals where I performed in between other recitalists. I love music and sharing the joy that it gives me and so many other people. Read More

Though I do like to have method books available, I generally fit each lesson plan to the student. Different people learn differently and I like to be sensitive to the student's age, mindset and goals. Throughout my college career, I have learned to teach students rather than babysit students in order to have them achieve their very best. Teaching is the organizing or guiding of a process in which students learn. Teaching is there so students can learn. Babysitting is simply watching the students without them necessarily learning anything. I strongly believemusic teachers should possess a love of music and an enjoyment of working with people. Over my 20 years there, besides my classroom instruction, I have taught private lessons on all brass instruments and several woodwind instruments including flute, clarinet, and alto & baritone saxes. For five years I taught as an adjunct at Nyack College and besides music appreciation I was the college tuba instructor. I am currently also an adjunct at Union County College. When I was studying at Nyack College I studied tuba with Herb Weksellblat of the Metropolitan Opera. Read More
