I was born and raised in the Baltimore area and was lucky enough to be part of a family full of musicians. Piano lessons began in kindergarten and I started the trombone at age 11. Little did I know at the time that it would be a huge part of my life! I have been a professional musician for 8 years and have traveled all over the world doing in. I graduated from Towson University in 2007 and immediately won a job performing with the Tony and Emmy Award-Winning show Blast!  While with the show, I was a part of 3 Japan Tours, 2 USA Tours, and a two-week run of Ocean Blast Fever at the 2012 World Expo in Yeosu, South Korea. I encourage learning about the history and the literature of the instrument as this will help with the performance and interpretation of music. I also encourage the learning of theory, depending on the instrument, it can be very crucial. While this may sound like a lot, I make it so that all of this learning is not overwhelming. I began teaching trombone and bass after my first years of college at Cal State L.A. and went on to become a clinician and teacher in Los Angeles teaching trombone, bass, and percussion as well as working with musicians and conducting clinics around the U.S. and the world while touring and during my time as a cultural ambassador for the U.S. State Department.
