Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. For each lesson, I begin with a 5 to 10 minute warmup before moving on to the student's assigned music. I like to alternate between actual performance/practicing, and teaching concepts including music theory. My teaching style is to MAKE IT FUN. No punishment. I encourage my students to play or sing whatever they want with my help for the structure. For example: I'm teaching a student to date music theory. At one point 10 years ago when I was teaching a student theory, she completely shut down and wanted no longer to take piano lessons because of the difficulty of it. I traveled to California for college, where I received a Bachelor of Music Composition degree from Biola University. As a trumpet player, I am a firm believer in the Arban Complete Comservatory Method, and Clarke Technical Studies. These are the backbone of my fundamentals.
